After losing “Paps” on February 20, 2017, we knew we wanted to do something to keep his memory alive while also taking time to stay connected with friends and family.
On Sunday, September 17, 2017, the 1st Annual Rick “Paps” Lee Memorial ‘Gives Back’ came to life at EagleSticks Golf Course.
Since our inaugural event, we have raised $33,893 for six different local and national organizations while staying true to our purpose of enjoying time with friends and family, displaying some competitive golf, and “Giving Back” in his name. Along the way, more than 600 golfers have participated to help us meet our mission.
Growing up in South Zanesville, Ohio, “Paps” was a coach, a youth league President for South Zanesville biddy leagues, and wore just about every hat in dedication to his boys, Jason and Chad, and to youth sports. As a jockey, he had a natural love of horses and was a licensed blacksmith. If not following his boys around at their many athletic events, you might find him on the golf course or having a poker night where the stories told were legendary.
Together, we continue to remember “Paps” and we look forward to you joining us in 2024 and beyond as we continue to give back to our communities. Thank you for being alongside us these past eight years. We also want to thank Mick at Jaycee Golf for all his hospitality and support in making our outing a success since 2020 and to our committee for the countless hours to help grow our cause. We hope to see you on September 22.
Cheers,
The Lee Boys
